Interview with Uwe Hainbach, Managing Director C + P Möbelsysteme GmbH & Co. KG.

Were you skeptical or rather open-minded at the beginning of the project?
Uwe Hainbach: At the beginning of the project I was curious. On the one hand, I was interested in where we stand with our purchasing. On the other hand, I was interested in the know-how that would be conveyed. In particular through the qualification of employees.

Uwe Hainbach: On the one hand, it was necessary to convince our employees of the project, which was quickly achieved. It quickly became clear to the employees that they would not be screened, but individually supported and relieved. The other major challenge was to create a clear data basis. Therefore one must know that we develop many customized special solutions. For example, it is not uncommon for us to order only one-off quantities of a product.
Uwe Hainbach: There were no interferences.
Uwe Hainbach: The sustainability consists, for example, in the fact that our buyers were included in the negotiations. Due to this, they trained for e.g. argumentation chains in the procurement of purchased parts that are not always in the focus of the purchasing department. This still helps them in their day-to-day business. Our employees have also gained negotiating security in such procurement tasks.
Uwe Hainbach: In a spirit of partnership, very systematic, purposeful/result-oriented and transparent. I would like to say a few words on the last point. Due to the transparent weekly reporting and the open communication every step of the Kloepfel team was comprehensible for us; in the end we had full control.
Uwe Hainbach: The team was very pleasant on a human level and found itself in the company in a spirit of partnership. They quickly developed a sense of what was feasible in negotiations and savings and where the limits lay.
Uwe Hainbach: The suppliers were not frightened away and accepted the optimization project in a sporty way.
Uwe Hainbach: Our complete procurement was professionally combed through, whereby significant savings were widely achieved. I can recommend Kloepfel Consulting at any time.
