Born on May 9, 1977, Sebastian Krings completed his studies in business engineering and started his career as a management trainee in procurement and logistics working for the third-largest ink manufacturer worldwide. There, amongst others he was responsible for operational and commercial logistics in France for many years. During the five years he worked for the company, his remarkable logistical expertise enabled him to reduce logistics costs, especially freight costs, in other European countries aswell, thus stabilizing the processes of the entire supply chain. Later he transferred to a family-run “Forth-Party-Logistics”-service provider based in Switzerland, where he helped build up their consultancy division across various sites. Due to years of 4PL expertise and many projects in procurement of freight services and logistical outsourcing, he has been able to help his clients in the cargo loading industry to generate significant and sustainable savings by introducing the 4PL concept. On May 22, 2017, he became the managing director of Kloepfel 4PL Solutions GmbH. He is married, has three children, lives in Cologne and enjoys playing tennis in his spare time.
