Start-up Taxfix receives investment from Paypal founder Thiel

Texfix, a start-up from Berlin, was able to win $ 13 million in the first round of financing. The venture capitalist Valar Ventures, the company of Paypal founder Peter Thiel, as well as the investors Creandum and Redalpine, had invested. Taxfit wants to use the money to further expand the global growth strategy of the tax app.

Taxfit has been one of Europe’s fastest growing tax tech companies since entering the market in 2017. Every day, around 800 tax returns are sent to the tax offices via the Taxfix app.

The investment focus of Valar Ventures is on online companies, which contribute to a transformation of the traditional market. Examples include the smartphone bank N26 or the transfer platform TransferWise.
